Chris Mulford, an international advocate for mothers and women and babies
and breastfeeding, suffered a massive stroke. She has been declared brain
dead and is on life support while her organs are being harvested. That's
so Chris, to keep giving even in death.
~~~
Chris will indeed be missed. She was such a strong advocate and got  things
done, but such a sweet, even gentle spirit, a terrific mix of skills  and
personality. I remember writing an intervention with her for the UN one
year, while we were representing LLLI and ILO, I think. Such a storehouse of
knowledge, a great writer/editor, and a joy, truly to work alongside.
Missed doesn't even begin to cover it. But, I guess she did what we all aim
 to do, those of us on this list by our very natures, she made a difference
in  the world.
I raise a glass to Chris! and all who will continue the work she invested
so much of herself in...
Peace,
Judy
