Hello Wise Ones,
I do appreciate all I have read here. Lactnet is just great. Hope to meet some of you at the ILCA convention. But to my questions re milk storage for NICU babies and Moms. Some research has been done which recommends having Mom pool her milk for 24 hours in one container, less contamination that way. Is anyone doing this? How do you get the small amounts needed for tiny baby and freeze the rest? The rest could be more than the baby would take in 24 hours with thawed milk. Do you keep fresh milk in the frig for 4 days in a NICU? It would be valuable for the premie to get more fresh milk instead of frozen, if possible. Thanks for your comments.
