Thank you for the references!
Of course I knew that releasing a tongue would only bring it closer to
normal mobility, but it was the references that this mother needed.
Hello all,
Rereading the study again leads me to the same conclusion I had before:
this study doesn't specifically categorize "anterior vs posterior" or "Type
1-2 vs 3-4". So the local professionals I mentioned are not dissuaded from
their "hypermobility" fear regarding anything but the anterior releases. Is
there a similar study's results that specifies that tongue motion and milk
transfer and maternal comfort are improved post-posterior release? If there
are professionals not even willing to acknowledge the helpful potential of
releasing those visible, heart-shaped ones, this kind of study should
hopefully make a difference. Still, we need something more specific to the
posterior ones.
Peace,
Judy
