Hi Phyllis,

You may also be interested in this study by Kramer et al .

Their conclusion:
These results, based on the largest randomized
trial ever conducted in the area of human lactation,
provide strong evidence that prolonged and exclusive
breastfeeding improves children’s cognitive development.

Subject: breastfeeding and brain size

This morning on FOX news, Dr Isadore Rosenfeld urged mothers to breastfeed at
least 18 mos and best for 2 years. He said the longer a baby is breastfed, the
bigger baby's brain will be! I searched FOX news online and couldn't find the
story.
So I Googled the key words and found this item that goes even farther than what
Dr. Rosenfeld said...

It says that full term pregnancy AND breastfeeding for 3 years leads to best
brain growth or size.

Would like to find the original article.

Phyllis
