Dana, this is also my understanding and an IBCLE power point slide show is available for download states this as well on slide 38-- the 6 courses of continuing education (e.g BLS, occupational safety etc) *do not* require college credits, unlike the 8 courses required such as anatomy and physiology which do require 'for credit'. The former 6 courses are as they are described--continuing education units, not college credit.
