There was a lovely story on NPR last evening which focused on how supporting exclusive breastfeeding for six months can help prevent mother to child transmission of HIV. I held my breath during the story, worried that exclusive breastfeeding would not be mentioned. I was relieved to hear that it was really the major prevention strategy mentioned. Read/listen to the story at http://www.npr.org/2011/07/06/137536170/in-mozambique-a-fight-to-keep-babies-hiv-free.
