Dear Nikki,
The 'powers that be' have just shown that they are ignorant of the body of research done on this topic. If they are saying that it is dangerous for babies to be prone on mom, THEY should provide the evidence. And they won't find any. If they are making the leap from prone alone to prone on mom, they should have evidence to back up their claims.
