Dear Lactnet Friends:
How times have changed.
My family osteopath gave bags of samples away to his patients that were on
fixed incomes and couldn't afford prescriptions. I don't know if he still
does that.
When I was a student nurse at Bellevue Hospital in the late 1960s, "liver
rounds" meant the Friday afternoon conference for residents and interns
where alcohol was served.
