Thanks for linking to this, Karleen.

I found the story and the video clip chilling.

I will comment, but I will wait until my initial reactions die down.

As well as sadness for the mother and the baby, and fear that this 
sort of thing is being replicated all over the place, I am stunned by 
the smug *blindness* of a team of people who (I am sure) want the 
very best for the people in their care, but who are unable to see 
that they are doing so much harm not just to invidual mothers and 
babies, but to a culture.
