I work a couple blocks from Linda, and can tell you that in this city mixing formula powder with EBM is a not uncommon suggestion by pediatricians.  I hate explaining the problems to parents (brick wall bruises my forehead).  I've also heard a couple parents come up with the idea on their own in hopes of getting the baby to sleep longer.

Unfortunately you can find the directions on the NeoSure website, so it doesn't go against manufacturers' recommendations.
