Hi Michele,
Congratulations on your new son! I hope he is doing well.

Absolutely I have seen this, delayed lactogenesis with a multi-faceted
situation like you are in, and yes, I have seen the full supply kick
in.
Your body has many stressors to deal with (hematoma, endometritis,
anemia, premature birth), and your baby can't really help you with
lactation yet.

I absolutely agree with the glucophage and the herbals. What I think
would help would be combining electric pump (hospital grade and double
setup,
not a 'working moms' pump) with warmth / massage/ hand expression AND
as much STS as can be done. Get as much rest as you can and good
nourishment.  Then tincture of time and I would be very optimistic
that all will be well soon.
