Thank you, Dawn!
I needed someone to remind me to take a few deep breaths. I didn't want to be misunderstood. I often come to the proverbial "rescue" of overweight women...because unfortunately, their is a very real health care bias when it comes to how they are treated in the hospital. As a labor/delivery nurse (presently working in lactation), I can't begin to count the number of times I have heard terrible things coming out of the mouths of doctors, nurses, and other HCP in regard to "those women".

Discovering the information while studying for the exam, on a possible link between obesity and delayed onset lactogenesis, my first thought was "great, just another battle overweight women will need to fight". I want to be as supportive as possible.

Marie Ivey, BSN, RN, LCCE, CLC (who is a *fluffy* over 50 y/o grandmother finding it hard to stick to WW with the stress of studying for the exam, LOL!)
