When I needed an MRI on my ankle, I was told I would have to wait until 
I stopped breastfeeding, as it would make my milk thick and stringy.

No, I didn't make that up.

By the time I finished with them, thanks to Veronica's links, they'd 
admitted that they'd had women with injuries waiting for months, 
unwilling to give up breastfeeding.  And sadly, some mothers who had 
weaned, in order to have their scans.
