Have those of you in the US taken advantage of the services offered thru Dr.
Hale's new infant risk clinic??? I have called them three times and they
have been SUPER helpful! When I can't find the answer in my books or the
archives . I have called them and received immediate help! My latest
question to them was regarding the use of nifedipine on the mother's nipples
for raynauds. All I could find discussed, of course, mother's oral use. In
one book I read that peripheral tissue ischemia in neonates has been treated
with topical nitroglycerin ointment and how constant observation of the
infant for hypotension is necessary. (I know they are different meds - but
both are vasodilators, I believe. Nitroglycerin is a L4, Nifedipine is a
L2.

Anyway, even tho this was prescribed by her doctor, I have the mom waiting
to use this until I get a clear answer from their clinic.
