Hi Julia,
In my experience with Hispanic mothers in Mississippi, many do not have
transportation, the husband works. Most are stay at home moms.
If the majority are involved with WIC, they must go to the Wic warehouse to
'pick up wic' monthly? I think.
Could you have something there where they are going anyway?
What about a room at the church? Most are Catholics and belong to a church.
Can you talk with some of the moms, like a focus group, to ask where would
be a good place to meet? Maybe in the evening or a weekend when the fathers
can bring them? Is there a particular school that the older kids attend? Are
there any facilities there or nearby?
Just some suggestions. Good luck.
