Just curious how the rest of you do this. We were just informed by our pharmacist that it is illegal to send APNO home with patients because it was ordered as an inpatient. We send other meds home with mom, but we are not allowed to let them take the APNO home because it is a compounded med. Instead we are to throw away the unused APNO and the patient has to get a new prescription filled as an outpatient. Is this what the rest of you do? Thanks!
