This topic has been posted numerous times on Lactnet so it must be a fairly common phenomenon, but I couldn't find any evidence-based explanation. We have a mother who has a baby in our NICN that has several bottles of milk that will not freeze. May we store and use this milk as we would any other milk? My guess is that the pathogen growth would still be arrested even if the milk is not frozen, but it has been many years since I took any chemistry classes :-)
