Dear friends,
I have a mother (who I have permission from to contact you) who just suffered
HELLP Syndrome and delivered by C/sec a 26 wk baby. This is her third child,
and since she practiced prolonged breastfeeding with her other children, she
wishes to provide her breastmilk to her new premature baby.
But because of HELLP Syndrome, she had to receive dialysis, plus diuretics;
which has reflected on her milk supply. At this moment she is pumping less than
10cc. She wants to know if she can take a combination of galactagogues such as
Chamomille, Nettle Leaf and Blessed Thistle to increase her milk supply. Her MD
has asked if this in anyway can affect her kidney condition.
I wanted to contact Sheila Humprey, since I have been in contact with her in the
past; but I lost her email.
If any of you can provide me any information regarding, I'll appreciate it!!!
I'll also appreciate if you can email me with copy to [log in to unmask], so I
can track the email more easily (since I receive LACTNET as a journal).
