I have been seeing a mother who has a long hx of hyperprolactinemia
with intermittent galactorrhea. MRI showed:  "Mild heterogeneity of right
pituitary parenchyma. No discrete pituitary mass is seen". Was on
bromocriptine a couple of years ago; off for past 2 years; Prolactin levels
42-51 this past year;. Also hypothyroid but TSH levels normal for past few
years with levoxyl (and recently normal).  8 years between kids, not from
lack of trying, but no fertility meds either.
Easy to express drops of milk. Scant milk pumped. Breasts never extra full
in first week. Baby not gaining weight despite great latch and frequent
feeds; irregular and infrequent swallows.
So anybody have this hyperprolactinemia/low milk production combo?
 Thoughts?
