Dear Lactnetters, I have mother's permission to post. I am working with a mother whose baby born at 32 weeks is in the NICU, feeding and growing. This couplet has been through a lot, it was thought to be a tubal pregnancy, it is her 4th child and she received methotrexate at 7 weeks, then they figured out it was intrauterine and gave her folate rescue, Baby has cranial deformities but is doing well. Mother has CHTN and is on Lisinopril and Labetolol, had to be readmitted due to her BP and Lisinopril is only med that controls her BP's. Lisinopril as you know is L3 due to no data, and being a longer acting ACE inhibitor. So the Neonataologists have been asking me about it. I explained it to them and I plan to call Dr Hale's new irisk hot line on monday. The neo's are Ok using her EMM for now as Infant is monitored and has had no hypotension or bradycardia, but she will go home and I do not know what tell the Mom then as she wants to keep giving EMM. Any info my wise women? Thanks Lisa Mooney RN IBCLC
