Hi Gina,

I do not have experience helping other moms with Ehlers-Danlos, but I am a mother with EDS who breastfed two children for several years. I can answer questions you or your client have regarding practical tips (depending on what type she has - mine is type III, aka Hypermobile Type under the "new" nosology) or concerns she may have. Of course every person's experience with breastfeeding as well as with EDS is different, though sometimes for these less common issues, a been-there experience is helpful. On the flip side, if anyone knows of research on EDS and breastfeeding, I'd be very interested in learning more at the evidence-based level.
