Ameda pump kits will NOT work on Medela.

can I just ask why can't Ameda tubing be used in place of the original Medela tubing? cuts out the risk of mold, etc. if the moms are going to do it anyway why not make it safer for them? I understand it is not a perfect situation but isn't it better than not?
