I recently had a mom whose nipples, I think were damaged from wearing a back brace for scoliosis. They seemed to indent on one side instead of the tip. We ended up very frustrated and after 10-12 days, she decided to bottle feed. She also was unable to get a good MER. If your mom is able to provide EBM, given time and patience, maybe the baby will learn to latch . Good luck! Carol
