I have seen Pat & Laura reply before me and completely agree, there seems to be a big piece of the puzzle missing here. Wanted to mention my initial thought is some sort of structural anomaly like coanal atresia, these can show up in varying degrees and maybe somehow with the bottle feeding the baby managed to mouth breathe.
Keep us updated, as I'm wondering if my time in this particular NICU is causing my perception to be skewed so now I jump to big bad diagnoses too quickly?
