Dear fellow lactnuts,
I've been no-mail for quite some time due to a very busy time. Coming out from under the radar now and will try to keep up with the lactnet posts.
A collegue who's not on lactnet consulted me with a question for a mom who is fire-lighter. During pregnancy she was in office-duty, because pregnant women are not allowed active duty due to hazards of chemicals in fires etc. and because they can not use compressed air. Now mom's maternity leave is over and she's got to get back to work. The question is: will she need to be under the same restrictions while nursing as she was when pregnant? In my country not many fire fighters are female so no experience or jurisprudence available. Anyone out there who can fill in the blanks for me?
Warmly,
Gonneke, IBCLC in PP, LC lecturer in southern Netherlands
