the whole discussion is a true education. this weekend i am presenting to colleagues a workshop on how best to support women using formula without compromising our stance on breastfeeding and remaining honest about outcomes and impact. i am going to draw their attention to the blog and your discussion as it gives a real insight into the whole context, emotional and social, in which women "fail" to breastfeed.
indeed it invites speculation on the way some women may reframe the debate in order to retain their self regard (important to us all) . they sound desperate and heart broken. but anyone who suggested that would be shot down for sure :(
