Hi
I breastfed a baby with hand, foot & mouth (which is a parvovirus I think). Most adults are immune and if mum is not, then she has probably contracted it and is incubating already. J was miserable. His mouth and throat were covered in blisters. We spent three days on the sofa. He was too sore to suck but he insisted on having a breast in his mouth (without any suction) all the time. The only way to get fluids into him was to (hand) express into his mouth - he would generally swallow it but the friction associated with suckling was just too sore, I guess.
Cheers
