I have found no working illegal drug or drug abuse protocols or policies
for breastfeeding I can offer to the court today. I have found precious
little research on breastfeeding and potential oxycontin abuse, the drug
at issue in today's hearing. Tom Hale, who is out of the country, lists
two citations--I could only find one of the authors to write to, and no
answer to my theoretical questions regarding a framework for testing
mother and baby--when and how often?
Vergie Hughes, if I remember correctly, had a recovering addicts program
in the the late 1980s, but surely there are many such now, and we've
come a long way in our understanding of breastfeeding since then. I'll
keep looking, but meanwhile, anyone with a lead, please send it along.

morning
