Have any studies proved the safety of bottle use as an alternative feeding method?  Unfortunately, because its use is so pervasive, it is automatically assumed to be "safe".  However, even if it doesn't change any minds, perhaps if we keep asking the question, it might begin to loosen some deeply held assumptions.
