My problem with it is that exclusively breastfed infants use the iron in
mom's milk very efficiently. Are they basing this on most moms start
supplemental solids at 4 mo? Because once you start supplemental solids
breastfeed babies may or may not need iron supplements....depending on what
supplements they are getting....like meat or egg yolk.... I guess the answer
is yes, give every BF baby iron supplements, just in case!
