Dear Lactnet Friends:
While I am pleased that the bar has been raised for breastfeeding in the US,
I don't like the numbers.
It was easy to teach and to remember 75-50-25. (Initiation-3 months-6
months) Whereas 81.9-60.5-34.1 are awkward to remember. 82-60-35 are only a
little easier. While the statisticians may be rejoicing, the marketing folks
got ignored!
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, BSN, Mother of 2, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI, ANLC
