On of the hospitals where I work is considering implementing nap time on our birthing center unit for mothers mid-afternoon (and possibly mid-morning too) so mothers can learn to breastfeed and get some much-needed rest. Immediate family is not considered visitors and can come and go anytime, but other visitors will be restricted. Only the most-essential hospital procedures and doctor visits will take place during that time.
I've heard of this before and would like to hear from others whose hospitals do something similar as to any pieces of advice?
Thanks!
