At our facility the answer would be no - unless they are all prepared to do
a resuscitation. After all, many of these babies are having feeding
difficulties - if they aspirate, or "just" turn a little blue -- what will
the CNA do?

Each feeding is an opportunity for a good assessment. A CNA is not educated
to do that (altho they may very well be capable or beyond capable).

And yes, I understand that we are sending these babies home with their
parents. But the parents will not have extra liability if something happens
at a hospital feeding, and we would. That's my manager's voice in my head!

And if the CNA can feed that baby, why not the unit secretary?
