Since I am unfamiliar with this term, I went to Wikipedia for a quick definition. Only entry there was 'The Bucket List', a feature film about a list made by two mentally ill men played by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, of things they wanted to do before they kicked the bucket.

I take text too literally, I admit, but please, someone, explain to me how buckets (and/or kicking them) got involved in the list currently being added to in this thread!
Whatever the name, I am still hazy on the concept under discussion. What is the aim of the bucket list? (this is a sincere question - I just don't get it.)
