Diane has asked what my opinion was on Lansinoh exhibiting at the ILCA conference. According to the International Code Documentation Center in Penang - "Code Central," if the parent company is not meeting its obligations under the Code then neither does any of its subsidiary companies. I have advised ILCA of this Code interpretation but it is their decision as to whom they allow to exhibit at their conferences. I get this question a lot about Lansinoh and answer by asking how people would feel if Nestle created a breast pump subsidiary and wanted to exhibit at one of our breastfeeding conferences!
If the parent company is a Code breaker then so to are its children.
