I find the very existence of these strips extremely distasteful, so I agree
with what has already been written here. (I tell moms, "If you're legal to
drive, you're legal to breastfeed.")
Meanwhile, unprompted, last week at Lamaze class, a bumptious 25 year
bubbled,
"I can't wait to try those alcohol strips when I'm breastfeeding my baby."
I must have looked confounded as she continued,
"You know, those things you put your milk on to see if it has alcohol in
it."
Yes, I knew. Why did she feel that way? "Oh I don't know, I just think it's
cool."

Dawn Kersula in Vermont, where the local selectboard just had a discussion
about a hiatus on bar licenses because there was so much liquor and beer
being sold in such a small town
