I'm a bit confused by your post  You say that "Nipples are sore, cracked,
blistered, reddned and painful when infant first latches then the pain goes
away."  Is that the situation *now* with the 4-weeker, or was that the
situation when nipple pain first showed up, after birth?

If it is happening now, I sure as heck would be looking at the baby's tongue
for frenulum issues, and move yeast farther down the list.  That "inside"
pain could be the fall-out (vasospasm? referred pain?) of a baby using
compensatory mouth/lip behaviors to *stay* latched on .... which are putting
mom's poor nipples and nerves through torture.  Could there be oversupply or
OAMER going on -- with baby chomping to slow the flow; with "inside
pain" caused by that overactive milk ejection reflex?
