We recently discussed this article in class. It is an evidence based
study that shows that bottle-fed babies were fussier at the breast during
transition. I hope it helps.

Jen,

Thanks for sending this study. Am I reading this correctly that these
babies were supplemented for the study, not because they were having feeding
difficulties and couldn't breastfeed fully and needed supplementation? I agree
that wouldn't necessarily be that helpful in promoting one assistive
feeding method over another with babies actually having feeding issues which
require supplementation devices. Of course I could be wrong since all I see is
the abstract. Is there more to this?

Peace,
Judy
