Maybe someone else has posted this as I've been sporadic in my lactnet
reading this past week but take a look at the Academy of Breastfeeding
Medicine's recently updated protocols on engorgement.(go to bfmed.org under
their protocols)
 They have some new suggestions for use of bromelain/trypsin for engorgement
and citations that show heat, cold, cabbage, etc ineffective.
But of course, seeking very short-term "comfort" may be different than
overall measured "efficacy"...
