I am wondering if anyone in the United States encourages prenatal expression of colostrum in their hospital or clinic, and if you could share your resources. The only study I am finding is Cox, 2006. I have heard this mentioned at two different conferences this year and it is mentioned in the Core Curriculum, but I'm having a tough time finding anything substantial to reference for our local medical community. I recently shared the idea of prenatal expression with a Diabetic Educator and she had a lot of concerns. Any resources or further information would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Angela Chivers, IBCLC
