There is a subtle difference in the balling behaviour, between the case 
of an introduced queen and one that is already ensconced.

There is an aggression associated with disliked introduced queens that 
involves a lot of biting (you can see this as a winking of a little 
white spot on the rear of the workers heads) in the other case there is 
no biting and the movement of the ball is more noticeable, the writhing 
is a little like a shoal of fish changing direction in unison.
