One thing we can do is encourage more of the staff to do the breastfeeding  
basics. I agree, an IBCLC should be there for the "problems" or the mothers 
who  need more than just some basic assistance.

breastfeeding  moms.  I sure do wish I had 40 hrs...OK I won't be greedy..30hrs to  
dedicate to breastfeeding...really kind of a waste of the IBCLC credential  :-(
