Yes--I was tested a year ago (very reasonable home test from
www.grassrootshealth.com) and my level was 56. But then I know to
supplement with D3 and allow sunshine to contact my unslathered skin
daily (gasp).
I couldn't agree more with your post and yes, everyone should get
tested and supplement if necessary. Adequate vitamin D is almost
impossible with a modern diet and inadequate time spent outdoors.
Hopefully *all* pregnant and nursing women will be tested routinely
someday soon.
