This is more from a personal perspective and from friends I have made along
the difficult journey of trying to conceive, clomid, IVF, hormones, PCOS and
stage 3-4 endometriosis, and surgeries....but in my experience and with 3
other friends with similar histories, all of us had trouble conceiving,
difficult pregnancies, and some difficulty breastfeeding due to high
palettes, Raynaud's, etc...but none of us had any problems with milk supply
and we all breastfed exclusively for over a year with each of our children.
Now this is a small sample of 4 with similar histories, but from the
research that I recall when researching IVF outcomes (I did not research
PCOS outcomes), the bigger scenario with IVF was premature deliveries, which
then can lead to difficulties to BF not related to supply other than having
to pump rather than put the infant to breast.
Again, I have not had a lot of experience with BF mothers with this history
(although it is growing I'm finding-so hopefully more research will be
done), this is from personal history.
