Liz Baldwin helped my niece when she was in a similar situation.  Never make 
it about BF or mom's needs, but rather the child's developmental stage and 
needs.  Suggest alternatives which fit (like short visits for an afternoon) 
a couple of times a week  Extend ideas rather than withdraw and appear 
punitive.  The baby is not the battleground!  pat in SNJ
