Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the baby is definitely not reacting to the Alimentum, during the time periods that he has been exclusively fed Alimentum he has had no blood or mucous in his stools, but introducing even 1-2 breast milk feedings in a 24 hour period leads to mucous in stool and at times occult hem+ stool. I do agree completely that we don't fully understand "protein sensitivity" and hopefully ten or twenty years from now we'll be giving mom's more accurate advice on the topic!
