Nope, doesn't sound like yeast to me, especially if it responds to warm and
cold compresses. Some will question the validity of my next suggestion, but
I *have* heard of mothers who can 'feel' their ducts. Maybe this mom is
simply feeling changes in her breasts post feed. Ductal changes (full to
empty, for example) or nerves, kind of like how many mothers feel 'pins and
needles' in their nipples/breasts on let down. Could also be position
related.how is she holding baby. is baby maybe compressing a nerve on the
bottom side her breast during feeding?
I bet the rash on her breasts is unrelated to the pain inside her breasts.
could be eczema or contact dermatitis. or.??? Rashes are funny things,
proper diagnosis seem elusive.
