Just some food for thought:
If it isn't a conflict of interest for an IBCLC to rent good quality pumps which are not otherwise readily available, or provide appropriately sized nipple shields and the like, why is it a conflict of interest for a chiropractor or other allied health care professional to sell probiotics that they believe are of a superior quality than the one's sold in a local drug store chain? There have been numerous studies of supplements that conclude that some are worthless because they contain so little of the ingredient that it is negligible, so if a HCP has done their research and sells a superior product (such as we might sell or rent a pump that we KNOW works as intended) is that a conflict of interest?

This is what prompted my initial question. I wonder if what we were discussing regarding probiotics are what (some) clients think when we discuss the various products that we might use to help them through their situation....
