Fascinating to see the different perceptions of the word "boob"
..... Certainly the English, both here and overseas, seem to call
breasts boobs much more often than they call them breasts. The word
Breast" is kinda anatomical, much more formal - I myself use it a
lot, and almost never use Boob, because I'm usually not joking about
breastfeeding! But 9 times out of 10 my clients talk about their
_own_ breasts as Boobs. The word Boob is almost an affectionate
term, like a little pet-name, nearly always said with a little smile
in the voice. Like our Australian friends have described, it's not
really a derogatory term for us at all. I think it's rather sweet, actually!
