Paula - Maybe since he mentioned that you needed to do some research, you could ask him if he would send you links to the studies he used (for the bacteria-laden mother of a premie and those with "dry breasts") and see what he does.  I cannot believe there is any science behind the statements he made to you.  The questions he asked show ignorance as well - what do you do when you're sick?!  I'd be really interested to know what he does when he's challenged to share his research.
